You usually come to us for quick and professional help with all your health-related questions. Today, we are the ones to contact you with a concern. Please understand that the Hasen Apotheke am Wednesday, 14 June 2023 closed remains. In protest!
We recommend that you buy your medication in advance on other days and clarify any questions with our pharmacy team before or after the protest day if possible. Emergency care will be provided on this day by Emergency pharmacies guaranteed.
We are protesting because the federal government's policy is massively jeopardising our work - your proper care.
- Due to the many supply bottlenecks, we need as much flexibility as possible in our work in order to be able to supply you quickly. However, the supply system is full of bureaucracy and the threat of fines from health insurance companies.
- Working in the pharmacy is challenging and requires a lot of expertise and understanding of the problems of the people who need our help. Drug supply shortages have made our work even more complicated and cost energy and time. However, pharmacies are denied financial recognition for this extra work. Here, too, we demand a fair solution from the politicians.
- The fee for pharmacies consists to a large extent of a fixed amount that is supposed to cover the running costs. This fixed amount has not been adjusted for ten years now, despite the immense increase in costs in the meantime. Pharmacies are thus disconnected from the overall economic development. This is not only unjust, but now threatens their very existence. Other important care providers, such as doctors' surgeries and hospitals, have received extra payments for this.
In Germany, more pharmacies have had to close for good recently than ever before. Economic reasons play just as much a role as a lack of staff and new recruits. A lack of recognition and frustration with the excessive bureaucracy are just as much a part of this as the extreme work intensification and the lack of political will to help pharmacies and the people who work there. If you cut pharmacies, you cut the nationwide, low-threshold and local supply of medicines. We know that: This cannot be in the interests of our patients - and that is why we are protesting on your behalf.
